What's your favorite color? We have all been asked that very question countless times. What a loaded question... I mean, have you looked at how many colors make up a Crayola crayon box?

I guess, if i had to choose one for now, it would be Robin's Egg Blue. Being originally from the Bahamas, I find myself homesick on occasion. This color reminds me of the warm sea breeze, never-ending skies and the tranquil waters that would soothe me as a child. This color reminds me of home.
It reminds me of the jewelry my mother would wear. The birds in our garden. The brightly painted homes on the shoreline and the traditional carnival costumes my people adorn. This color is celebrated by my indigenous ancestors. This color reflects our land, our sea, our people, and our culture. It reflects me.

Variations of the color can be seen everywhere, and I truly love that.
I've seen it in the waterfalls of Georgia. The shores of the Gullah Geechee corridor. The gemstones pulled from quarries and the scenic byways through the Tennessee mountains.
Color unites us all, no matter the location, no matter the culture. Expression through color is something we all have in common. Enhancing our memories and adding flair to anything it touches. It is nature's perfection and simplicity.
So, whats your favorite color?
