Situated on just over 290 acres, Gibbs Garden is not your ordinary garden. Located in Ball Ground, Georgia, plan to spend a few hours here. But be advised the Gardens are only open between 9 am to 4 pm daily. Ticket prices are reasonable.
The world-renowned garden contains 32 bridges, 19 waterfalls, and 24 ponds. Founded in 1980 the garden contains hundreds of different types of plants and foliage. Taking inspiration from various cultures, Gibbs garden provides lovely scenic views.
We thoroughly enjoyed the garden and took advantage of the moment by snapping a few candid photos. There's something for just about everyone here.
Not to be forgotten, the Manor House was just as beautiful as the garden. The attention to detail is quite apparent throughout the grounds. The Gibbs family do live in the home, and graciously allow visitors to tour around the home. So do be respectful of their private property.
Consisting of 16 individual gardens within the 3 main attractions, I suggest comfortable shoes, a hat, water, and a camera if you feel so inclined. A restaurant, restrooms and shaded seating are available, making the Gibbs Garden a beautiful and peaceful place for lunch. The walking paths will take you throughout the 3 main gardens - The Manor House Gardens, The Japanese Garden and the Waterlily Gardens. Should the walking become too much, an all-day pass for the covered tram service is available for $5 per person. The all-day pass will provide guests with unlimited access throughout the garden. For more information regarding the tram or the garden itself, please visit the Gibbs Garden website. The website provides detailed visitor information in addition to what's in bloom and their calendar of events.
So what are you waiting for? Go smell some flowers, and enjoy the view!
