Georgia isn't all wrap around porches and sweet tea. The culture is just as expressive as the food. In the most unexpected places, wonderful destinations can be found. Located about 1 hour and 8 minutes (65.7 mi) Southwest of Atlanta and 38 min (26.2 mi) East of Five Points, Alabama, you will find LaGrange, Georgia.

Tucked away in the historic town are various examples of LaGrange's dedication to the preservation of culture, nature and the arts.

" Southern charm with modern touches. This peaceful and photogenic hidden gem is worth visiting. "

With extra time on my hands, I found myself wandering around this town. While there I visited a local brewery. In the spirit of a family gathering, beers were being poured. A delicious taco vending truck was onsite and a live band serenaded the quests. I ordered the Chicken & Aloha Tacos. The staff was great and food tasty!

Options for everyone, even pets were allowed entry into the family affair. Games and activities were provided for the kids, creating a wonderful and relaxing event for all.

So pack a pair of sunglasses, wear comfortable walking shoes and bring your curiosity. This quaint town offers so much more than what meets the eye. If shopping is also in your plans, pick another day.

Just about every business I passed on the way to the LaFayette fountain appears to be closed on Sundays. Rest assured, the movie theater is still open, as well as various eateries and additional businesses.

Interested in getting something from the tap, you can find more information about Wild Leap Brew Co., here.

Hungry? Find the Drive-By Tacos truck here.

Enjoy the view!
