While on vacation in Hiawassee, Georgia my family and I stumbled upon a wonderful restaurant. If you want to learn more about Hiawassee, I suggest visiting this site. Spread all around are charming towns, steep mountain roads, and epic views. I can only imagine the mountain top views in the fall.
Hiawassee is in a world of its own. At times it won't even feel like you're in Georgia anymore. If you enjoy getting fresh air, hiking or just need a moments peace, mark this town on your map. Summer months are mild with cool evenings. Being at the base of the Appalachian Mountains has its benefits. On a clear night, capturing breathtaking pictures of the stars is easy. Hopefully, I will get to post several of mine on my website soon.

All in all, I can't think of anything I don't like about Hiawassee. I've visited several times and even done the Scenic Byway in the area a few times. I suggest giving the scenic drive a try if you have a free afternoon. I must say though, I do look forward to seeing the mountain tops change colors in the fall.

Driving around, not really finding anything to our liking, the hunt for food was on. After several yelp searches, we managed to find a restaurant that would satisfy everyone's appetite. The Brother's at Willow Ranch. Located in Young Harris, it was an 8-minute drive from our rental in Hiawassee. Brothers' has become my new favorite steak restaurant. For those of you that like a well-seasoned steak, visit Brothers'.
When I say cooked well, please understand that I am referring to a steak that does not need to be doused in steak sauce. I suggest their Whiskey marinated sirloin. I wish I had an 8oz. to eat now. The drive would honestly be worth it. My mouth is already watering!
various menu photos were pulled from the restaurant social media.
